VERONICA COLBERT ANDERSON SCHOLARSHIP FUND
*** 2026 SCHOLARSHIP ANNOUNCEMENT ***
We are pleased to announce that Suddenly Joyful Global Missions, Inc. will be awarding a total of three $1000.00 scholarships to seniors from Mainland High School in Daytona Beach, FL and Toledo, Ohio Area High Schools. In 2025, we launched The Veronica Colbert Anderson Scholarship Fund in order to provide scholarships to socially disadvantaged young women and girls. Mr. Corey Anderson, funded this scholarship in honor of his mother and Scott High School (Toledo, Ohio) alumna, Veronica Colbert Anderson. Mrs. Anderson was responsible for inspiring many young ladies to strive to reach their potential. The scholarship details are below.
The scholarships will be awarded based upon academic achievement, athletic achievement, community involvement, leadership and/or character. Minimum scholarship criteria includes the following: 1) Toledo, Ohio Area High School or Mainland High School Senior Graduating in Spring 2026, 2) Female Minority Student and 3) Minimum 3.0 GPA.
Required Application Materials:
- One Page Essay - Essay by the student on which award she is applying for and why she should be the recipient of the award. Be sure to include the student’s name, permanent email address, and phone number in the letter.
- College Acceptance Letter
- Current Transcript
- Teacher/Administrator Recommendation Letter
